Where to Make Your Graduation Announcements

With graduation festivities just about in full swing, you may have forgotten that there IS a step that comes after that anticipated senior session! Yep, it’s graduation announcements. A formal announcement is a beautiful way to commemorate your graduation, as well as a way to give friends and family a fun memento to keep. Here are our favorite spots to have your graduation announcements made:

  1. Ask your photographer! Of course, not every senior photographer offers the option of customized graduation announcement, but if they do, go with theirs. Why? Because they will be professionally done, customized to the images taken by the same photographer, and the process should be cohesive. Also, some photographers offer a discount when you buy multiple products at a time. Plus, you don’t run the risk of a lower-quality business ruining the look of the perfectly edited images.
  2. Minted is one of the best places to have graduation or party announcements made. They are very high-quality and come as close to custom-made as you can find. We like this simple, modern, and stylish announcement. You can of course upload your own portrait with permission from your photographer and a print release, and you can get 100 announcements for $159, which is pretty reasonable. You can also choose from five different styles of paper. Best of all, you can order matching thank you cards with most designs, which will make your life so much easier! If you’re wanting to make invitations from your senior photos, try this design instead.
  3. TinyPrints is another option that has higher quality card-stock cards and announcements. They also offer several foil options that look beautiful, and are still reasonably priced. We like these beautiful options which range from $1.39 to $1.99 each. TinyPrints offers only two different types of paper on their options, which may deter some who want a wider variety. TinyPrints does offer several online codes periodically, which usually appear at the top of each webpage. They are a great way to earn things like free shipping or percentages off your purchase (every penny counts when you’re looking at college!)
  4. Etsy is our final choice for affordable invitations. The online, handmade marketplace is filled with talented graphic designers who can do just about any kind of design. As with any independent designer, make sure you understand what you are getting with the price: how many files, permission to print them somewhere such as Costco or Staples, and how many edits you can make.

Lastly, remember that your photographer is the best resource for your photo printing needs. After all, they’ve been painstakingly editing your images, they know how to make sure they look beautiful and perfect!
