It’s been a while since I last posted a blog post. I have so much to share and so much to post. I will start out by sharing my brother’s session. He was down in November and I got to get a small shoot in. One thing I am so happy about while growing up is that my mom always took pictures as a family. Now that she is gone, I am so grateful for those images. To see her in her later years and being able to share those with my children. So I think it’s important as parents, we take the time to get our own pictures taken. Life is short and you want to leave not just the memories, but a snap shot of yourself at that moment in time.
It’s no secret that when Gus and I get together, we instantly go back in time to when we were growing up and become goofballs. We are like little kids when we get together. It’s all fun and games! Okay, okay, so yes we do act serious and like grown ups. Really we do. It was fun capturing his new tattoo that he just got and some pictures of his daughter, my beautiful niece, Isabella. Gus’ new tattoo is a tribute to our mom whose famous words were encouraging to him while growing up. Of course, I heard them often, even daily. For those who didn’t know my mom, she was small in statue, but had a heart like a giant. She had an incredible work ethic. She was always about FAMILY. Mi FAMILIA. My mom was an amazing person and surely missed everyday. So excited that GUS never forgot her words and when he needs a little motivation, he can look down at his arm, to hear and see her encouragement and love. To always move forward.
NO SEAS FLOJO (which means “don’t be lazy” in spanish and pronounced, no se-as flo-ho).
