I think sometimes seniors wonder why it’s often recommended to include some solid colors in their senior wardrobe. Yes, prints and patterns can add a ton of dimension to a session, and I love them, especially when they express a personal style and personality. But, solid colors are a great way to streamline a look, particularly for guys. Todd, a senior from Southridge High School, shows that nicely in this session! He opted for lots of solids with very, very subtle patterns that added interest but weren’t distracting, and he looks great! Remember, throwing just one classic look in there means you can use the photos later on for headshots or resumes/scholarship applications!
Todd is a graduate who is headed for a pre-law degree at his prospective college, University of Washington. He was a really kind, laid-back guy, and was a total champ for my poses and instructions! At Southridge, he’s involved in Debate and Ignite, which is a civic and political/community involvement education program. He also loves swimming, weightlifting, and gaming when his schedule allows. Todd says his favorite high school memory would be a trip to Portland with his debate team, and says his friends would probably describe him as “introverted, but a goofball”. I know he will be fantastic at his next venture, and am so flattered that he chose my photography to document his senior year!
