I loved my first mini session with this Richland High School senior (you can see that shoot here), and I loved her full session even more! With her striking eyes, beautiful hair, and lovely personality, she made it so fun for us both. Skylan is very involved at Richland, participating in things like Key Club and Buddy Club. She says her favorite subject is history, because “there is always something to learn”! After high school, she plans to earn her CNA license, later become an RN, and eventually become a nurse anesthetist. The bright and smart gal describes herself as “spunky, funky, and fresh”, and loves to spend her free time with her pets, or eating her favorite food, pizza! High School was not all smooth sailing for her… in fact, she went through one of her toughest obstacles during that time: losing her beloved grandma. Though it took her months to work through the grief, she says she was able to move forward because of the knowledge that her grandmother was no longer suffering. The experience strengthened her, and made her a stronger person; something she carried with her through the rest of her time at Richland. For her senior session, she envisioned something slightly rustic but also with a little glamour. We found some great downtown locations, as well as a field with the kind of rustic wall she imagined. She found my photography through Instagram (are you following us on there?), and I’m so glad she did. Congratulations, Skylan!
