“For me, high school was about learning to not care about what others think of me”, explained Maddie, “For my first two years of high school, I was so worried about what everyone thought of me, and I was never myself. I realized at the beginning of my junior year that people love me the way I am, and I learned to love myself, and embrace being me!” This was a powerful revelation for this beautiful senior, and one that shone through in her senior session. I loved her confidence, huge smile, and sweet personality. She’s active at Southridge, participating in dance, and Key Club, and helping out at various school functions. Maddie loves school, especially science, and is looking forward to attending college and heading into the medical field after graduation.
Maddie says her favorite things about herself are her “fun loving and independent” personality, and her smile. In her free time, she enjoys being active in nature; hiking, swimming, and being on the river with her friends. For her senior shoot, she chose me after seeing several of her friends’ senior photos, and she wanted a photographer who she would feel comfortable with, and have fun with. We certainly had fun, and we found a really neat graffiti wall that was perfect for her chic, stylish outfits. Then, we moved into the sunshine, and Maddie swapped her urban style for a more feminine and bohemian look. Every look was perfect, and I so enjoyed our time together!
Congratulations, Maddie…I know your newfound confidence and joy will carry you far in life!
