Delta High senior Kaitlin definitely brought her own unique charm to her urban-location shoot! Though she said she had not seen any of my portraits and that her mom chose me as her photographer, she warmed up when she got in front of the lens. And for a girl who said her only style was, “dresses and skirts”, she did choose really great pieces that showcased her individual personality. It’s amazing how someone’s style and passions can come out in front of the camera, even if they aren’t sure about it. I loved the shots with her books, and thought she picked a beautiful, standout floral dress, that was lovely against her pretty hair. She also chose a clever tee to incorporate into her shoot, a nod to the classic book, The Catcher in the Rye. Her parents work for the newspaper, so it was fun to bring that in, too, especially with the neat statues she liked.
