I love the girls with glasses who come to me for senior photos. For many of my senior girls, their glasses are a part of who they are. Sure, they could put in contacts, but I also believe that your senior photos should look like you! If you wear glasses frequently, why shouldn’t they be a part of your senior portraits? For Hailey, her glasses are an extension of her fun personality, and they looked so cute for her session (we also did a few without her frames for a different look)! Here’s a few tips for my girls with glasses:
-Make sure you do your makeup or have it done before you put your frames on. Amp up your eye makeup, as it can easily get “lost” behind your lenses. A few coats of mascara and a little eyeliner can help keep your eyes the main focus.
-Be sure to clean your lenses, and rely on your photographer to get the best shots! A great photographer will know how to angle your head and the light to prevent the dreaded glasses glare.
-Bring along your contacts or if you’re able to, go glasses-free for just a few shots. It will be nice to have a variety, and you may love both looks when you get the proofs back. Make sure your hair is flatteringly arranged around your glasses. Hailey’s loose waves were perfect.
