Emma | Kamiakin High School | Washington Senior Photographer

It’s a pretty high compliment when a senior shares they have hoped to have me do their senior photos since the fifth grade! But, that’s what this girl shared. I’ve known her since she was in elementary school, and I love that after all these years, she chose me….such an honor! Emma is a graduate from Kamiakin High School, and I just love her friendly and outgoing personality. She’s active on the Link Crew, DECA, and plays tennis. Her 3.7 G.P.A. has been hard earned, but she’s a strong student and loves English, reading, and writing. “I came to Kamiakin from Pasco, so I started my freshman year basically knowing no one. Making new friends and learning to embrace change was tough, but I learned to put myself out there a lot more”, she explained, “The experience also taught me to be a good friend… if I notice one of my friends is having a bad day or something, I usually try to go out of my way to make sure they’re okay. The same goes for if they’ve accomplished something cool; I like to be there to congratulate and encourage them.”

In her spare time, Emma loves to be with her friends, eat good food, and listen to music. She says her personal style is “comfortable and cute”, and that she wanted a polished and pretty feel for her senior session. We were able to shoot in so many gorgeous locations, and we also captured her love of tennis right on the court! After graduation, Emma has her sights set on UW, and hopes to continue on to graduate school to become a radiologist.  She concludes, “I want to be remembered in twenty years for being a good person. I want to have someone look at me, and think ‘I’m so glad she’s here because she had a positive impact on my life’…if someone was able to say, that, I’d be happy”.
