This session had such an urban vibe, and I loved it! It suited this fashionable, smart, and driven young lady. When I asked her what she liked to do in her free time, Ashley jokingly responded, “What is free time?!” She certainly keeps busy at Kamiakin High School, where she participates in Gear Up (which prepares students for college, citizenship and a future in a career), DECA, and FCCLA, which is a non-profit organization specializing in technical career futures. The FCCLA also prepares students for their careers by utilizing skill building, goal planning, and chapter projects that address issues like peer pressure and the environment. Ashley has earned a 3.5 G.P.A., and says that photography is her favorite class in school.
Her friend (another Ashley!) referred her to me for senior photos, and I’m so glad she did. Her personal style is very chic and timeless, and she requested a session that would stand out in people’s minds as unique. “I would say I am definitely creative and independent”, she explained, adding, “I can connect with many people. I’m very social, and can get along with many different kinds of people.” After graduation, she hopes to attend Gonzaga to become an Occupational Therapist. She cites her parents as her personal role models, and says they both have overcome circumstances and found the best in them. I know this bright and creative girl will do some pretty amazing things, and she will make a wonderful therapist!
